Aged care advice beyond 1 Nov 2025 - a refresh.
Have you been giving aged care advice (or already accredited) but need a refresh to ensure you are ready for advice beyond 1 November 2025? Join our experts in this Aged Care Advice Refresh workshop to get up to speed on the new rules and learn which aged care advice strategies have changed and which have not.
Our Refresh workshop is designed for advisers who have a good understanding of aged care rules but need a refresh to get up-to-date on the current rules from 1 November 2025. This session covers advice on residential care, with Support at Home covered in our new Support at Home workshops. The rules are new and there is a lot of incorrect information in the community - make sure you know what is correct and what is not.
Developed as an interactive workshop, it gives you the opportunity to take a deep dive into residential care strategies to understand what works, what no longer applies and how to give advice to clients. It also provides an opportunity to network with your peers and discuss ideas so that you walk away with effective knowledge and business skills.
This workshop qualifies for 3.5 CPD hours. Complete the exam to test your understanding and receive an extra 2 hours of CPD.
The Refresh Workshop is provided as a live and interactive online workshop, covering residential aged care. Download the registration form for dates and full details. To learn about Support at Home workshops, click here.

“I found the course one of the best I have ever done. Danni was able to explain complex topics in a simple way and was able to answer every question off the top of her head - she really knows aged care! I learnt good ideas on how to explain concepts to my clients. I’d recommend this course to everyone who wants to work in this space.

Aged care advice isn’t limited to finances. A smooth transition to aged care relies on taking the right steps, at the right time, and with the right information. Clients may turn to you for guidance.
A major component of the paperwork is dealing with Services Australia/Centrelink. Your clients must navigate:
Assessment processes to receive approval for government-funded care services
Means-testing processes to calculate their financial contribution towards care and accommodation
Ongoing updates of financial information and circumstances, and
All things person-centred.
Services Australia’s processes and policies can change often and without notice. It can be harder to keep up with than legislative changes. Using apps and online portals can help to simplify the processes, once you are familiar with the capabilities and limitations of those systems.
