Aged Care Steps announces winners of the 2022 Aged Care Adviser of the Year Awards

Industry leader Aged Care Steps has announced the Winners for this year’s ACS Aged Care Adviser of the Year Awards.

The winner of the Aged Care Adviser of the Year category is Bruce Baynes from Sage Care Advice.

This category recognises an individual adviser who is deemed to have demonstrated outstanding professional commitment in providing aged care advice to older Australians and their families.

With over 20 years of experience in providing financial advice, clients often comment on Bruce’s empathy and understanding, in addition to his strategy skills. Aged care advice is nothing short of a passion for Bruce.

The winner of the Aged Care Advice Program of the Year is Alteris Financial Group.

This second category recognises an Australian adviser or advice business working in financial services that has actively advocated the promotion of aged care advice amongst their client base, referral communities, peers or local community.

To meet the growing demand for aged care advice, Alteris Financial Group has built a dedicated team to promote, educate and support this part of their business. A broad range of marketing initiatives are employed to share knowledge and improve the aged care journey.

The applications were reviewed and the winners were selected by an external panel of respected professionals, including Jo-Anne Bloch, Ben Marshan, and Paul Rogan.

The Aged Care Adviser of the Year Awards formed part of the broader 2022 campaign launched by Aged Care Steps which aimed to raise awareness of the highly valued and expert services that aged care advisers provide.

“Aged care advice plays a critical role in ensuring that clients have more choices and greater control as they plan for all phases of their retirement. We believed it was time to recognise the great work advisers achieve in this increasingly important area of advice and launched the inaugural ACS Aged Care Adviser of the Year awards as a result” said Assyat David, Director of Aged Care Steps.

“The high calibre of all the submissions received made it very difficult for the judges to select not only the finalists but also our winners. The quality of the examples and case studies provided by the entrants in their submissions clearly showed the positive impact specialist aged care advice makes on a person’s retirement” continued Assyat.

“We congratulate Bruce Baynes and Alteris Financial Group on their achievements and for being outstanding winners of these awards.”
