Lara Hansen - Advice Implementation Manager

Lara has over 15 years’ experience in financial services industry with a background in education and technical strategy support.

During this time, Lara has specialised in aged care advice to financial planners and other advice professionals. She has also provided training on the practical business applications of aged care legislation to staff in aged care facilities.

This experience provides Lara with a unique understanding of the issues that aged care residents face from both a financial perspective and when negotiating with aged care facilities. This is invaluable insight for supporting advisers.

At Aged Care Steps, Lara is responsible for developing and delivering quality training programs as well as managing our aged care paraplanning service.

Lara is building a solid reputation in the industry and contributes aged care articles to various financial publications.

Before joining Aged Care Steps, Lara worked for ipac Securities and AXA Australia Ltd and specialised in:

  • Providing financial advice to aged care and retirement clients

  • Developing and delivering aged care training programs to financial planners and aged care facilities

  • Technology solutions and their applications to improve business efficiencies

  • Developing and delivering required training programs to support the advice process at workshops, PD days and conferences

  • Paraplanning services

Lara began her career in education as an Accounting lecturer at UWS Nepean where she was responsible for developing and delivering course content to over 5,000 accounting students. She has written and presented various research papers at conferences in Australia and abroad.

After leaving UWS Nepean, Lara worked in a chartered accounting practice and was responsible for developing and delivering the financial planning advice solution to their clients.
